Dana Belia boleh buat filem

Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak telah melancarkan Dana Belia 1Malaysia berjumlah RM20 juta. Wow apa lagi para belia. Siapkan proposal, skrip dan sebagainya....

Maaf kualiti audio kurang memuaskan.

Barisan Nasional (BN) Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin is set to star in a 1 Malaysia Youth Fund reality show as one of the judges who will evaluate contestants with their winning proposals.

The reality show by Media Prima Berhad will have contestants pitching their ideas to a panel of judges.

The winners will receive grants from the fund.

The show is set to resemble popular entrepreneur television programmes such as Britain’s “Dragon’s Den” and “American Inventor”.

Khairy (picture), who is also heading the fund’s evaluation panel, dismissed the notion that he would be the Simon Cowell of the reality show, saying that the focus should instead be on the applicants.

“The reality show is a relatively new idea so we have to see the format and the rest.

“Presumably, I will be a judge because the reality show is based on the applicants for the fund,” he told reporters after the launching of the fund.

Cowell, a former judge on the “American Idol” show, was known for his controversial and biting comments.

On Monday, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak announced a RM20 million grant, funded by 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), for young people to undertake projects in line with 1 Malaysia.

The fund was first announced in Budget 2011 late last year, after the idea was mooted by the Barisan Nasional (BN) Youth Lab.
